Hatchet blog #5

Hatchet has been a really good book and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. I think the the book is really descriptive but also has some fast paced and intense moments so as to keep the reader intersted through-out the whole book. The only part that I disliked is the part where Brian keep thinking back to the "secret" as well as when the author (Gary Paulsen) repeates some words and phares. E.g. He has repeated the words 'mistakes' numerous times.

Even though most of the book has been great my absolute favourite part of the book is the epilogue because it really sums up the book well but still keeps the reader thinking about it after they put the book down. I even have some unanswered questions ,which isn't a bad thing, but at least it makes me looking forward to a sequel.

I think that the moral/messege of the book is "what ever you set your mind to you can achieve it". I think this messege applies even in everyday life. However, in the book sometimes Brian still got a bit discouraged especially when the search plane missed him. But even though he was discouraged he still persued on surviving.

I dodn't actually enjoy the literature circles project but I enjoyed the book so it was a forced 2 in 1. However, I think I did quite well as I didn't pass any of my discussion sheets late. But I think I could have improved it by increasing the length of my passage description but ither than that I tried my hardest and hope it's enough to get a good grade.

After glancing at other people's liturature circle's I think that I would have enjoyed Charlotte Doyle because it seems like the kind of book that I would read for pleasure reading because it involves and severe problem of some sort. It actually happened to be one of the top 3 books that I wanted to read.

After the literature circles have come and gone i'm glad we did because i'm actually surprised that I could've done so much writing about such a thin book!
